Hebrew Free Loan of San Diego is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. We will use your donation to continue providing interest-free loans throughout our community, giving people the means to handle financial challenges, pursue their dreams, and become self-sufficient.
Donations of $360 or more will be recognized in HFLSD publications.
Every gift made to Hebrew Free Loan of San Diego will impact members of the San Diego Jewish community for generations to come,makes a lasting difference in many lives, and, is an investment in strengthening our community.
As loans are repaid, the funds are reused for future loans. For Named Funds, repayments of loans previously made are returned to the named fund for loans to new borrowers. HFLSD has a 100% repayment rate.
Donations may be undesignated funds which will be used for all loan programs and operations (no minimum), or designated contributions for loans in specific loan programs (which may utilize a maximum of 3% per year, up to 15% over the lifetime of the donation, to cover expenses).
Both designated and undesignated contributions may be in named donor funds (minimum fund $20,000).
